Tannin Technologies Inc. operates Tannin & Trade for independent wineries, agencies, importers and trade buyers. The service supports website and wine catalogue management, private trade information and buyer enquiries.
Information we collect
- Account details such as name, email, organization, and role
- Wine and vintage records, prices, stock snapshots, website drafts and published versions, and supplied images and technical sheets
- Buyer business contacts, enquiries, requests, quotes, follow-ups and notes entered by authorized users
- Staff invitations, access assignments, publication approvals, support requests and service work history
- Technical logs including request IDs, authentication events, and error telemetry
How we use information
We use collected information to operate the service, secure accounts, provide support, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations.
Access and publication
Workspace access is limited to authorized business users and assigned Tannin staff. Public websites display the content approved for publication, not private buyer records or wholesale prices. A trade catalogue link may disclose the information its owner deliberately includes; owners can revoke those links. Administrators should review access when staff leave.
Service providers
Trade uses Amazon Web Services for application hosting, account authentication, storage and email delivery. Its current application and storage infrastructure is in the United States. Content delivered through a global network may be processed outside Canada. The client service schedule identifies any additional providers used for its engagement.
We send account and requested service notifications. Adding a buyer contact to Trade does not subscribe that person to marketing. We do not sell client contact information or use it for unrelated model training.
Retention
Optional usage measurement is off unless you enable it in the public page footer. It records service-page and example views, without account identifiers, enquiry text or buyer information. A random tab identifier prevents repeated views in the same 30-minute visit from being counted twice. Event records expire after 90 days. Turn measurement off using the same control. Actual enquiries and onboarding steps are recorded separately to deliver the service, not treated as paid sales.
We retain workspace records for the active service and review export or deletion requests with an authorized business contact. Security records, legal obligations and backups may require longer retention. Recovery copies are separate from active records: deleting an active record does not immediately remove every historical copy. The service schedule records the applicable retention and exit arrangements; we do not promise immediate deletion from backups.
Your rights
Business owners can download their business records and attachments from Setup. Organization administrators may request assisted export, correction, access or deletion review by contacting info@tannin.wine. We verify authority before releasing private records or changing access.
